Ben has a broad range of expertise in policy analysis, with a particular focus on international development. Prior to joining the Behavioural Insights Team, he was a professor at Seattle University, where he founded a research and teaching centre on poverty. He has led research projects in Ghana, Zambia, Indonesia and India, among other countries. He holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and an MA and PhD in political science from the University of Chicago. He is the author of four books, most recently on effective strategies for reducing global poverty.
