Elisabeth is a Principal Advisor and the Head of Consumers, Energy and Sustainability at the Behavioural Insights Team. Prior to joining the team, Elisabeth spent a number of years at the Australian Treasury focussing on climate change policy, intergenerational equity, and debt policy. Specifically, she was involved in establishing Australia’s carbon pricing schemes, and the $10 billion Clean Energy Finance Corporation. Elisabeth has also worked at the United Nations Environment Programme and Centre for International Environmental Law in Washington D.C.
Elisabeth completed her postgraduate studies at Harvard Law School, where she focused on environmental regulation and negotiations, and water resources policy. Elisabeth also holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Notre Dame Australia, and a GradDip in Legal Practice (Merit) from the Australian National University.
