Joanne is a Senior Advisor at the Behavioural Insights Team and leads the team’s work in the Netherlands. She is applying behavioural insights in policy domains ranging from poverty reduction to increasing the efficiency of government processes. When joining BIT’s London office in 2013, Joanne worked on labour market policy with the Department for Work and Pensions to test new ways to help people back into work. In her subsequent work, Joanne looked at ways to apply behavioural insights within workplaces with the aim of building happier and more productive workforces. Joanne holds an MSc (with distinction) in Cognitive and Decision Sciences from University College London and a BA (Hons) in economics and psychology from University College Utrecht.
