Behavioural Insights Team UK: North
Originally set up as a small group at the heart of the UK government, the Behavioural Insights Team applies insights from academic research in behavioural economics and psychology to improve public services. The organisation is now global with projects in over 15 countries. We have a small office located in Manchester; our founding client is Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). We are working with GMCA to deliver several behaviourally informed projects across a range of policy areas, as well as seeking to embed behavioural insights thinking across the Greater Manchester region. The team specialises in understanding how to apply behavioural insights across local and regional public services, working with local governments and other partners to make government more effective and improve people’s lives. Creating this new office in Manchester will make it easier for us generate significant social impact in an area outside London and the South East.
The team is headed by Felicity Algate, if you would like to find out more please get in touch by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org
