Dr Christine Kelly


Associate Research Advisor

Christine is an Associate Research Advisor in the Home Affairs and International Programmes team. Prior to joining BIT, she completed her PhD at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), where her research explored the determinants of primary school absenteeism in northern Malawi and the extent to which cleaner burning cookstoves improved school attendance in the context of a randomised controlled trial. Christine previously worked for the Population Council, an international research organisation based in New York, coordinating two large survey programmes in Malawi and Zambia. She holds an MSc in Demography and Health from LSHTM and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford.
