Rebecca Sareff


Research Assistant

Rebecca is an anthropologist and ethnographer, with expertise in mental health, medical communication, and cross-cultural behavioural science. She recently graduated with a Master of Research (anthropology) from Macquarie University. Her thesis focussed on the recovery narratives of young people with mental illness, and won the Ian Bedford Best Thesis Award for best anthropology thesis of her year. She is now supporting the BIT Sydney team as a research assistant, working across a range of projects. Prior to joining BIT, Rebecca worked as a research assistant in the Macquarie University Faculty of Medicine, assisting in developing applied linguistics resources to improve clinician communcation. She has also consulted for #ogilvychange Australia, where she developed a new resource for applying behavioural cross-culturally.
